This is gonna be good. No, this is gonna be great. One of our favorite local restaurants is teaming up with one of our favorite local beverage brands, and you’re gonna want to put this in your mouth.

On Tuesday, August 6, The Rieger is partnering with Boulevard Brewing Company for a five-course beer dinner. Brewer Jeremy Danner will be on hand to talk you through the beers and how they pair with each of chef Howard Hanna’s courses:

  • 1st Course: “Shoot the 7″ beer cocktail paired with smoked testa, country pork pate, chopped liver
  • 2nd Course: Westside Rye Ale paired with smoked bluefish and smoked trout, mustard and toast
  • 3rd Course: 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat Beer paired with farm salad (marinated tomatoes, cucumbers and onions, herbs, Boulevard Wheat beer vinaigrette)
  • 4th Course: Rye-on-Rye beer paired with sausages (cotechino, duck with maple and chiles, Rieger Dog), served with lentils, greens and IPA mustard-vinegar
  • 5th Course: Long Strange Tripel paired with peach triffle
